MTV’s hit reality show “Jersey Shore” that first aired in 2009 is now back for a reboot after ending in 2016 after six seasons. The new season, which aired on April 5, included the entire original cast besides “Sammi Sweetheart”, but had a twist.

Some of the cast members are now married and have children, who will also be included on the show this season. The season was filmed in Miami and will hopefully include as much partying and drama as the previous seasons.

“Jersey Shore” is notorious for its wild cast who were just strangers in the first season, all living in a house together. This cast of eight Italian partiers came with fitting nicknames : Nicole Polizzi (Snooki), Jennifer Farley (JWoww), Deena Cortese, Sammi Giancola (Sammi Sweetheart),  Mike Sorrentino (The Situation), Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz- Margo and Paul DelVecchio (DJ Pauly D).        And despite the immense drama that took place throughout the show’s running, the cast remains close.

The show became known for Sammi and Ronnie’s on-again-off-again relationship, which started in season one and continued until the show stopped in season six. Sammi is not returning for the new season, so many people wonder if it is because of Ronnie.

Other close relationships in the house included the bond between Jenny and Nicole, who even had their own spin-off show called “Snooki and Jwoww.”

The announcement of the new show has created a lot of hype, and there are a lot of expectations for the new season. This season is expected to be different from previous seasons because now marriages and kids are involved, which should mean no new relationships within the house (hopefully).

Despite that, viewers expect there to be just as much craziness and partying; it wouldn’t be “Jersey Shore” without the late club nights and the daily adventures. After all, some of the most memorable moments from the previous season have been Nicole (Snooki) getting arrested on the beach for being too rowdy and Ronnie getting into multiple fights on the boardwalk.

There is also hope for a couple of twists and turns as there have been in previous seasons. For example, there always seems to be at least one person from the cast who can’t handle the craziness and leaves the house for a period of time. The most dramatic exit was when Sammi left in season three because of a huge fight with Ronnie, but then he returned just a few weeks later to Ronnie’s surprise.

I am hoping that this season is as exciting as it’s been advertised to be. There is no doubt that there will be many fans of the show tuning in to watch this reboot, and I cannot wait to see if this new season lives up to the previous ones.
