The winter athletic season has started once again, and with it comes the start of gymnastics. After two weeks of preparation, the team had its first meet at home against Stevenson High School and Libertyville High School on Wednesday, Nov. 28. Stevenson came out the winner with a score of 141.4. MHS placed second at 139.7, and Libertyville ranked third, scoring 129.75. Because the team has won the conference championship for the last five years straight, Head Coach Jesse Piland said the team had been very hyped for the first meet with new uniforms and new routines.  Although the gymnasts were nervous, they were excited to show off their skills.
