Madison Parola, Co-Editor-In-Chief

I’m Madison Parola, one of the editors-in-chief of The Mustang. TJ Yakimisky, the other editor-in-chief, and I have been in this class for four years working up to the position of editor-in-chief. I’ve really enjoyed working on The Mustang for the past three years, and I am looking forward to another year of writing articles. Hopefully, our staff can work hard to get out articles in a timely manner and continue to grow our skills. My favorite articles have always been opinion pieces because those are the only articles in which I get to express my opinions. Even though there is the possibility of being ridiculed for my opinion, I still find it fun. I like to be on top of what I am doing, which means I have never missed a deadline, and I plan to stay on this path. For this year, I am aiming to improve my editing and layout skills. Outside of journalism, I am a three-sport athlete. I’ve always had a passion for writing, but my favorite activities are the ones that I can participate in after school. Last year I was on varsity volleyball, varsity basketball and track. These sports have been a great way for me to relieve stress.
