Sophomore Chloe Engelbrecht said,” I would rather be super athletic because you can win everything and get tons of medals, making you feel awesome about yourself.”
While Engelbrecht would rather be athletic, she’s in the minority. Other Mundelein students would rather be super smart.
Sophomores Brooklyn D’Ambrosio, Hannah Lee, and Xitlally Garcia all said they would rather be super smart for a variety of reasons including getting scholarships and achieving their goals faster.
Lee said,” I would rather be super smart because you can learn everything all at once and get lots of experiences in life and it’s a good advantage towards achieving your goals.”
Garcia held a similar view saying,” I would rather be super smart because then I could get into any college I want and it wouldn’t matter and I could get a scholarship. Also, you can’t do athletics forever.”
One final student also said she would rather be super smart, D’Ambrosio said,” I would rather be super smart because I feel like athletics can only help you to a certain point and unless you’re planning on being a professional athlete there’s no point other than showing off.”
So it seems like the majority of people would rather be super smart, how about you?
