Since homecoming is the first dance of the school year, Student Leadership tried to get students and staff actively involved in many of the homecoming events throughout the week. The week ended with about half the student population ‘dancing through the decades’–the homecoming theme–on Saturday, Sept. 21. “Homecoming was overall really great,” School Wide President Sofia Feijoo, senior, said. “Student Leadership sold more than 1,000 tickets, and so many students dressed up for spirit week, which was really cool to see.”

Gearing up: On the night of the homecoming football game, the varsity football team stands shoulder-to-shoulder during the National Anthem. With a 29-14 win against Waukegan High School, many of the players were proud to show Mustang Nation their dedication and capabilities on the field. “We are all a tight group of guys who live and breathe football,” junior Alex Wing said. “We all support each other and want the best for every one of us.”
