Hello, I’m Lucy Moran, and I am a sophomore staff reporter for The Mustang newspaper. I first heard about this journalism class through my friends, which instantly sparked an interest. I’ve always heard great stories from my mom on how much she loves writing; therefore, being surrounded by this enthusiasm made me want to give it a try. Besides being part of the staff, I play for the varsity lacrosse team and diving team, which pushes me to be my best and to work as a team. When I’m not writing or playing a sport, I love to play the guitar, watch movies (some of my favorites are The Children’s Hour and Mysterious Skin), and listen to a lot of music. I like most kinds of music, but I am a huge Phoebe Bridgers and Taylor Swift fan, whose lyrics always emotionally inspire me. I’m very excited to contribute my writing to this year’s newspapers!
