Broken records, insane trade situations, big free agent signings, and Bears hope. This time of year does not disappoint the sports fanatic.
To start, in football, the Baltimore Ravens made a blockbuster trade to get Maxx Crosby an Edge Rusher from the Raiders. They sent two first round picks in exchange for him. Maxx Crosby ended his season early last season to recover from the meniscus tear he sustained late. The Ravens brought him into the facility for his physical to determine if he is healthy or not. Shortly after the trade which had not been processed at the time the Ravens backed out as Crosby did not pass his physical. This has been debated as unjust since everyone knew Crosby wasn’t fully healthy by this time. Backing out of a trade is rarely ever seen and with a player of this caliber this could be one of the craziest what if trade scenarios in the NFL all time. Currently it is questionable whether Crosby will now stay on the raiders or get traded elsewhere.
Following this wild scenario Trey Hendrickson agreed on a four year 112 million dollar contract with the Ravens. Hendrickson who has been on the free agency market for a couple days now found his home in a very unexpected destination as of days ago. He as well is coming off an injury last season but comes with a much cheaper price than Crosby. Hendrickson brings great pass rushing to the Ravens while Crosby would have brought not only pass rushing but also his arguably best run stopping ability in the league.
The NFL has been interesting, but it doesn’t top the NBA with an all time performance from Bam Adebayo. Adebayo dropped an 83 point performance against the Washington Wizards which puts him second all-time in points in a game. He passed Kobe Bryant’s 81 point performance in the early 2000s and is behind Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 point performance. There have been many critics on Adebayo’s 83 points saying it was unethical. He shot 46 free throws which makes fans question credibility and fans thought he should’ve got subbed out of the game when they were already blowing them out and to respect Kobe’s record.
Now, we’re looking at the final four NCAA championship and the start of baseball season.
